Nur Spa

Well, had the spa afternoon to beat today. Walked in through a beautiful stone archway, greeted the smiling Buddha, and walked across a stone and grassy path to the front desk. I was led off by Layla down a path to a door to my own little outdoor treatment area. Part enclosed and part open, I stripped and lay face down while she massaged my body with fragrant oil – and as she hopped up on the table to reach all parts! While she worked on me, the skies were rumbling with thunder and it began to rain. We were protected so I could just enjoy the sight and sounds of it all and I couldn’t have asked for a more calming surround-soundtrack. When the massage ended, she rubbed my body down with a yogurt scrub, then instructed me to slide off the table and walk to the corner of the area/yard, where there was a tile floor. She ladled warm water all over me to rinse off the yogurt, and then I stepped into the flower petal laden warm tub. Oh my! I got to soak there for a while (photo here – children, accept the European nature of it), then she returned to dry me off and apply lotion to my body. Next,  I walked into a building and up the stairs for a 30-minute reflexology appointment, while laying on a comfy chaise. Manicure and pedicure followed, but, attention please, all was done while I was still laying on the chaise! One woman doing my feet and one on each hand. I was a queen! Laughing and enjoying every minute of it. So, 3 1/2 hours after I walked in, and a whole $46 poorer, I floated out into the sprinkling rain. Aaaaah….
