And we’re off! Bert, Taylor and I headed to DIA, where Matt arrived from Las Vegas to join us on our plane to Baltimore. Hopped in our rental and made our way across the Bay Bridge onto the eastern shore (you may have seen it somewhat briefly in the family house scenes from the recent hit “Wedding Crashers”). Mom rented a beautiful, spacious house for her children (and the little guys), and all of our grown children (the first cousins) stayed in Hynda’s (my mom’s youngest sister) guest house. My mom’s other sister, Marsha, rented a large house with her two boys, their spouses and her grandchildren.
Wednesday evening we had a big feast, prepared by mom and Efrain, and Hynda and Tucker and various cousins dropped by to cocktail, eat and laugh.
I was feeling a little queasy from the travel day, so hit the hay early. There’s a whole lot going on tomorrow!
