Time to pack up and hit the road. Discussing how we’re going to do it next time all the while. Gotta get to LA for Michael’s one o’clock flight and try to beat the traffic. Break down the campsite and pack up (although, as you can see, it was hard getting some people out of their sleeping bags, even if we did manage to get them out of the tent). Packed it all up, which is always amazing when you have stuff strewn for 10 yards in either direction! Hit the road, and yes, another stop at In-and-Out Burger (and I’ve since learned that people alter the restuarant’s bumper stickers to say “In-and-Out urge”. We understand this.). This time, there was a long line of other Coachella-ites who had the same thing in mind. Between that and traffic, I’m sorry to say that Michael missed his flight (although he says someone misses their flight after every Coachella festival), but he made the best of it. Hard to re-enter the outside world after no phones, no tvs, no news, no rules, etc etc. I’ll try to carry it all with me as long as I can. Some good energy and mellow vibe. Back to the homeland….
