Thanks to my nomination by David Wolf, and seconding nominations by several colleagues and friends in my community, the Boulder County Business Report named me one of 2010’s “Remarkable Women of the Year”, in the category of Woman of Enterprise. The Enterprise award “recognizes a woman who has demonstrated the core values of entrepreneurship, including risk-taking, innovation, and the ability to overcome obstacles.” Really? Me? Anyway, it was quite an honor, and quite an evening. Big Daddy came out to watch one of his girls make good. Then took the whole gang out to Mateo’s for cocktails, food and much carrying on. What a lucky woman I am. Nights like this make me think that when I depart this world for whatever may or may not be next, I’ll be content that I’ve made a difference while here….
