But without Mrs. Robinson (at least as far as I know). We drove from all points to meet up in bumfuck, I mean, Lewisburg, PA for the graduation of Michael Alexander Baydush Simon from Bucknell University. What a dude! We all converged on the Rodeway Inn, and doncha know that Marilyn and Bill managed to secure a suite! Who’d have thought the Rodeway Inn would even have such an upscale amenity? Friday night Betsy and Tom, Drew and Matt, Stacey and Jeff, and Marilyn and Bill and I headed into town where we met up with Michael and headed to Elizabeth’s – the only gourmet option in town. Upstairs for dinner and toasts and some good food. And the gift! I had been waiting almost two months for this moment….Michael asked me for a compilation of family favorite recipes for his High School graduation gift, but I never got around to it. I was ready for this graduation: bound and photo-illustrated. I hope he has a lot of fun using it! Once dinner was finished we had to bolt to campus in the misting rain for the candlelighting ceremony (which was unfortunately moved indoors to the gym due to inclement weather). Kind of long but when they got to the real action, it was pretty cool. All the seniors circled the crowd with their candles and recited some appropriate words.
Headed back to Schmokin Dam for rest up for the big day.
