We spend 3 full, mad days of shopping, evaluating, measuring and angsting over selections to create his new home. Lucky for us, we hit Bed Bath and Beyond on bridal night, so we could nourish our waning spirits as he battled over what bathroom mat to select and whether or not a vacuum stick was really necessary. All in all, it was a mighty successful venture, although I think we both needed about 3 more days to sleep it off. Every night we walked around the neighborhood to investigate new and interesting restaurants and man, there were so many to choose from! He certainly picked a hip, fun area to live in. I hope all his upcoming choices will turn out as well. Huge kudos and thanks go out to Stacey and Jeff, whose logistical and loving support made the process all that much easier. As I left, Michael was preparing for delivery (and some assembly) of a large wall unit, sofa, chair and all his goods from Colorado. Of course I did not leave before cooking a huge brisket and being sure that the frig was full of all kinds of healthy, yummy food. Now is when the graduation cookbook will become indispensible!
