Back east to do the family tour – first stop: Tellepsen fun house. Busy, busy, busy! First project of the day was paper mache. Blew up balloons to the size of each person’s head (and that was the most fun!) and starting dunking strips and slapping them on. Charlie wanted to see how many he could jam on (he was a great dipper). Placed our works of art out on the deck to dry, cleaned up our mess, chowed down and then headed to the pool. You can see in the middle photo the two beauties who were keeping tabs of the little indians. Afternoon project was an enchilada assembly line. Of course I put Charlie in to dip tortillas, Emma sprinkled in the fillings, and Sam gently rolled and placed the finished product in the pan. We had a pretty good thing going! None of them were interested in eating the final product, but were enthusiastic workers. Next morning’s project was shaping and painting our paper mache projects – helmets and masks. Aunt Debi was worn out by that time and happy that the kids forgot about the muffin baking planned for that afternoon. Lobster bake that evening at the club with Betsy, Tom and friends, and then hopped in the car with Lisa and Lee to head to their house at Lake Anna. Back to the Tellepsen’s next week after a few days’ respite at the Lake!
