Into the Groove

Breakfast and onto the Siladen 11 for our two tank morning dives. We are delighted to learn that the two of us have our own divemaster – a woman! Pretty much all the dives are wall dives, and we enjoy both of ours. The visibility isn’t as good as either of us hoped, but the second dive was prettier than the first, and the pace worked out well. Suiting up:

and enjoying the surface interval:

Back around 12:30 to clean up with a hot outdoor shower, then lunch on the beach. At 2, Lance has us booked for a 90-minute couples’ massage, and we stagger back to our room like jellyfish blobs. Mmmmm…even better than the last one!

Dinner is actually quite lovely with an outdoor barbecue on the beach, complete with tiki torches and moonlight. Along with our grilled assortment of meat and fish, there is a bowl of what looks like tomato salsa, but with a bit more liquid. I’m informed it’s dabu dabu and the locals put it on everything. I enjoy some, but then get a killer hot bite. They ask (as always), how I liked it, and I said I did, but could I get it a bit less spicy. Every meal since then I’ve had it and it’s really amazing how EVERYTHING tastes better with it. And I heap more and more on at every meal. Going to have to google that recipe!

When we return to our bungalow, we are greeted by our bed:

Lovely. Hope everyone enjoyed theirs! Sunday the 15th is much the same (only no massages). Morning two-tank dive, shower and clean gear, lunch on the beach and then quiet afternoon of reading and suchlike.
