Another windy day, so there were only 2 really long hikes offered and the fauna hike for the shorter. A walk through the forest to supposedly sight wildlife, but they were talking to a girl from Montana, and I didn’t need a forest hike to see some deer, honestly. So Lance and I slept in (he decided to stay back with me instead of doing the long Base Hike), and took a walk on the property to the Cascada de Toro. It was about an hour of meandering and climbing. Sometimes I used my body to separate the vines and bushes heavy with the previous day’s rain, but luckily I had quick-drying pants on.
The waterfall was more beautiful than I was expecting:
And we stayed for a while in a quiet, meditative state. And a beautiful view of the Patagonia Camp across the lake on our hike back:
Back down for lunch and a quiet afternoon. Packing and preparing for the travel day ahead. Said our goodbyes at dinner, because we wouldn’t see many of the guides and personnel leaving early in the morning.
