Out early for a run, then breakfast at Woody’s, a cute place along the boardwalk where I could sit at the railing facing the ocean while sipping coffee and enjoying my veggie omelet. Then off to get a mani-pedi (important business), and by the time I was done, Evan and Rachel showed up. First piece of business was a bike ride the length of the boardwalk and then some:
Aaah, the California life! We had to make a spontaneous stop to ride the roller coaster – the best kind, too, one of the old rickety wooden ones:
Soooo much fun! On our way on the bikes again, and ended up back on our favorite deck about 3:30, starving. So, what to do? Order from th friendly waiter, that’s what, while enjoying the view:
my favorite pair of lovebirds:
After a couple hours lazing about, Rachel and I headed to the airport to pick up Miss Tay, for the beginning of her trip with me. The girls were chit-chattering all the way back. We agreed that the rooftop deck was uber cool, and enjoyed the view, the sunset, the picture opportunities:
and OYSTERS!!!:
what a life. As it started to get dark, we headed out. Got a light bite, and of course had to hit Mr. Frostie on the way back. Then everyone but yours truly decided to go to the Firehouse for a drink and some dancing. I headed back and had a quiet read, then to bed. They came in a couple hours later, and I quietly fell back to sleep to the sound of Miss Tay hugging the bowl in the bathroom. Pleasant dreams, all!
