Clark Fork river beach fun, August 2016
January 2010 marked the arrival of a long-awaited and planned-for date: my transition from full-time working mom to explorer of the world. If you didn’t already know, it was my plan from teenage years to live and work abroad and not settle down until my early thirties. But life is what happens while we’re busy making plans and my life took a different, albeit still wonderful, path. However, after much hard work and planning (and a lot of fun along the way), I have been in the process of fulfilling that goal. As I embark on a sometimes peripatetic pace of globetrotting, this website will serve as our connection. This is where I will share pictures and descriptions of my adventures as well as providing another way to communicate with me. The site will serve not only as a great place to share, but also a record for me of my travels and adventures – both at home and abroad.
August 2014 marked the purchase of 80 acres in the wilderness 50 minutes outside of Missoula, Montana and the fulfillment of my long-held dream of a cabin/home in the wilderness. I now spend more than half of the year out at my place and am loving every minute of it; new worlds to engage my senses and immersion in a serene spot in the natural world – all with the sound of a gurgling creek ever-present in the background. Please check out the page named “suwarrow” to understand how it came to be and what it is. The travel blog is now also my living-off-the-grid blog, but still filled with plenty of adventure and discovery.
Please keep up with me and let me know you’re watching!
