Around the World in 52 Days Less!

Now it’s time to say goodbye…..But first, I check my luggage downstairs and head in for final Mooji. I am sure to arrive early and stay until the very end, to soak it all in live and in person. Mooji elects to sit after all is finished (blessings, questions, answers, teachings and closing singing) for 10 minutes of quiet meditation with everyone, a special treat for me to close out my visits. I smile and depart with everyone and then catch a rickshaw back to the hotel. I walk down and meet J & K at Ramana’s garden. We have a lovely lunch with Prashant, and they walk me back to the hotel and put me in the taxi to the airport at Dehradun. They’re budgeted time for delays and the unexpected, but we sail there and 30 minutes later, I’m sitting on a chair and have time to watch a movie before check-in even starts. Some local airline, and my first prop plane (other than Nantucket) in a really long time, and 40 minutes later I am checking in for my non-stop United flight to Newark. Sleep and movies, customs and lounge, and I’m on a plane bound for the mile-high city. These details are only important so you know that I can now say that I’ve circumnavigated the globe on this one trip – a first!

It’s amazing when I look at my map of the world and see the pins stuck in for everywhere I’ve been. I’m a lucky girl, and it’s so gratifying to see how no matter where I go, what kind of food is served, whatever the ambient temperature or religious customs, form of government or transportation, people are, for the most part, all the same. Everyone wants love, fun, good food, and to be surrounded by family. Seeing the different ways the human experience manifests itself around the globe is so rewarding to me, but believe it or not, I’m coming to the end of the frenetic pace of travel. Now that my refuge is almost finished, I think the tempo of that will calm down, and hopefully so too, my brain.

Be well and stay in touch!

XOXO
