Yes, I met up with Jim Rogers for tea, but it ended up he was 15 minutes late and had a dinner to get to, so my 30 minutes was spent discussing how to open an account as a US citizen (pretty much being shut down everywhere) and a few on recommended restaurants. Have separate commentary on the experience, but suffice it to say it did my head good to know that it is so true that no matter from where the fortune or fame, people are just people, just like everyone one else we know. He was gracious enough to have his driver drop me off at the Botanical gardens, where I enjoyed a delightful twilight stroll. Mr. Rogers is off to Hong Kong Monday morning and will hopefully be getting back to me with the name of some Lichtenstein banks, which he thinks are worth checking out. Otherwise, can deposit $5 million (Singapore) and become a permanent resident, which will allow investing with local institutions.
