As you may or may not know, Thanksgiving has turned into an alternating experience of East Coast elegance and Western play-cribbage- and-be-comfortable gestalt. This year, the children and I headed back to the nation’s capital and had a great time. Thurs-day was spent playing games and getting annual family pictures taken out at the Tellepsen ponderosa:

The main event took place at Aunt Marsha’s house (my mom’s younger sister) and included the (almost) full array of my first cousins. Turkey was deep-fried and turkey was roasted – and when they were done….

Friday we had breakfast with Karen and Joe and many Simon cousins/niece and nephews, and later in the day, several of us hit the subway and downtown to my favorite: the Newseum (with a special Kennedy exhibit):
Also hit a big Lane/Baydush/Singer/Baydush/Tellepsen family dinner and even managed a Betsy’s 39 dinner just before taking off for home.
