Last breakfast out on the terrace. We sit chatting with Anita, who runs the boutique and discuss Game of Thrones and the sad fact that the most popular entertainment seems to have to include death, betrayal, sex and dark times. Is that still the only thing that fascinates the reptilian brain? Does that say something about the (lack of ) evolution of the human spirit….not that far from the gladiator games in ancient Rome, nest-ce pas?
But I stray far afield. Last two classes. T and I sweat together in Rowbics, a class on rowing machines that provides intervals of gasping for air, with breaks getting shorter and shorter between. Then we get a break and do some dips! Then Tay has her own private spin class (cuz no one else showed up) with her favorite trainer and I have a private as well doing interval cardio weight class. Then I head to my pumpkin wrap and Tay to reflexology. Then it’s bye-bye Cal-a-Vie, and off the the airport with Anita. But I request a quick stop at In-and-Out (heresy, right?) for a protein burger, animal style and we’re on our way again.
An easy flight and before we know it, we’re picking up dinner at Whole Foods. What a whirlwind! Our sore behinds won’t let us forget all the great work we did and what a bubble we were in for a few days. Taylor seemed to really love it and it was a great experience that we got to enjoy together. Another mother-daughter milestone! Thanks for starting the tradition, Charlotte, with your daughters at the Greenhouse in Arlington, Texas. Over and out….
