Back in the Big Apple.
First day finds my enjoying my maiden visit to Russ & Daughters with Michael, Taylor and Stacey:
and we run into Eli and Avi doing the same thing! E is in town apartment hunting before starting his high-powered Wall Street job.
I am fortunate in the timing of the wedding that I can attend what I’d read about for years in Bill Cunningham’s NYT column: the Jazz Lawn Party on Governor’s Island! I put together something of a time-appropriate outfit and head to the ferry with so many other folks dressed beautifully (some who’ve been attending the party for years).
Dancing performances by pros
and the public:
Love the views!
Then the wedding at a beautiful old home in Brooklyn. Aigerim and Arman enter:
Ceremony and readings, then the bride and groom toast:
Live band, DJ indoors after 10, and the de rigeur post-meal cigars:
And so the dual continent wedding celebrations comes to a close.
