I don’t really know how much you may be interested in understanding about what goes on here, so skip what’s of little interest.

Joao works in the Casa in Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Morning session begins at 8 and afternoon at 2. Early arrival is critical for sitting in current, as everyone must be settled and meditating before any of the lines are called. Surgery goes first, is seated, and has intervention until Joao, incorporated, says a prayer and announces the surgeries are completed. Then he calls for either revision (appearance before the entity 8 days after surgery, to see if healing is complete or something more is needed), the first or second time line. After all of the lines have gone, current is over. As everyone leaves, they join the soup line and have a big bowl of vegetable soup.

Anyway, Marina and I have decided that I will wait on line during the morning session, so that I may ask permission to go be cleansed in the sacred waterfall that is on the property. I am much calmer this time, even joyful, about asking. I kneel at his feet and take his hand. I try to connect through eye contact, but feel little success in that regard, even though I do meet his eyes. It is well known that the Entity is often looking further down the line to assess what upcoming people need. Out for soup and I head back to the pousada to rest before lunch and returning the the Casa.

Marina picks me up early for the afternoon session. Joao announced on Wednesday that Friday afternoon current would have a special cleansing, so we chose that session. This was my first time, so I followed her in and sat in the second row on a wooden bench. I brought my little travel pillow because my back has been very sore, particularly when I have spent a little time walking. We close our eyes and begin a focused meditation. Eyes closed the whole time and no crossing hands or legs – that weakens the energy going to the Entity. There is a medium who leads two opening prayers – the Lord’s prayer and the Ave Maria – and who occasionally provides some guidance during the current session. Unfortunately, no English guidance today.

By the way, the session is called “current” because it is said that each person is a filament of the creative life force, like a single thread of light. A hundred threads becomes a strong chain or current of light. All of those praying or meditating together are links in this great chain. At the Casa, this is called “holding current.” When everyone is focused in their prayers and their meditations, the Entities can easily draw upon this energy for healing.

This session lasts 3 hours and I’ve never meditated for more than twenty minutes! I occasionally wander, but have 3 or 4 powerful energy experiences. Marina has told me that she has never received instruction for an invisible surgery, or intervention, and has received all of her healing in current. I have heard so many stories of healing first and secondhand. However, I am starting to understand more about the process that brings about the healing – the necessity of doing karmic work, of asking for help, having compassion for ones’ self, being as open as possible to the process, and careful consideration of what your expectations are and what you’re willing to contribute to the process. This is really not: I’m going to walk before him, he’s going to wave his hand and then I will be cured. I am learning there is a lot more involved, particularly for deep healing.

When I leave the session, I feel like my whole body is vibrating. Back to my pousada to relax, then I shower and dress to meet new acquaintances at Frutti’s at 6ish for Kaliah’s birthday party in the back garden patio. Frutti’s is kind of like the hangout, with smoothies and good food, way casual and run by an Irishman named Alton.

It’s on the “tourist” strip that’s about two blocks long on the dirt road leading the the Casa. Marina and I walking into town by these stores:

A few restaurants only, as all three meals are included with the price at the pousadas. Party and cake and lots of nice people. Everyone has a different story. Some here two weeks, and some for three months; all from different parts of the globe. I haven’t said, but my pousada is populated mostly with folks from Austria, and definitely mostly German speakers. As far as I can tell, I am the only solo person here, and I eat every meal by myself.

In bed to read and sleep. As I’m laying flat on my back, I start having a very strange, tingling, uncomfortable sensation on my spine, this time a few inches higher than the usual area. I lay quietly and pay attention, and it grows in strength. I breathe and thank the entities for their work, and drift off to sleep. As is often the case, i wake a bit later, and the strange sensation has ended. I smile to myself and fall back to sleep. Goodnight!
