On the long road to Paris. First stop is Dinan, a town recommended by a fellow Tardif guest as the place she’s stayed about 6 times and totally charming. She’s right! A beautiful, quiet town, with hardly any tourists. And a most excellent shoe shop, I am happy to report…
and being a walled city, we took our time walking around the top of the walls and checking out a couple of the six turrets. The views:
Time to hit the road again. Can’t make it all the way to Paris without some gas, but after the pit stop, the car starts jerking and something isn’t right. Confirmation comes when warning lights come on and the dash says: STOP! Which we do. Call rental service. Hang up and call gendarme. Try to explain in French exactly where we are on the highway. Help comes in the form of road repairmen who handle that. Before too long, the tow truck arrives and we’re off to the repair shop:
A few hours later, we’re ready to go again and make it to Charles de Gaulle without further incident. Always and adventure!!!
And so, loyal fans, this trip comes to a close. But PLEASE PLEASE let me know in the future if pictures I post are sideways….I had no idea and what a pain for viewing! Thanks.
