Yes, indeed, it was quite a ride. Everyone had their own little compartment, like you see me in now. The wide leather seat would glide back, and in front of you was an 8×12 screen on which you could watch over 120 movies, tv shows, listen to over 730 CDs with their noise-cancelling headphones, play (3D) video games and even plug your own devices into the system to play on the screen. Not to mention complete privacy and a nice bench in front upon which to rest the tootsies. When I decided to go to sleep, the air host, or whatever the hell they call themselves these days, came and flipped my seat over, so I could lay completely prone and snooze away. Excellent food (but why were the Asian choices always gone by the time they came to take my order?) and the people on board said it was their pleasure to do everything they could for you. Loved it when I told one of the women I needed to move seats because the man across the aisle from me was snoring and I couldn’t think. She actually put her hand over her mouth and giggled like something out of an old movie with a sterotypical Asian woman. Anyway, if you have to be on a plane for 17 hours, this was the least painful way to do it. Saw Blind Side, The Messenger and It’s Complicated – needed more time to get through some more on my list!

Hi, we’re together for breakfast. Just took the dogs for a walk. Amir is home safe. Your trip sounds great so far. Love those beds on Singapore Airlines, too bad snorers are everywhere. They should put a close pin on his nose. Love reading your website. Love you, Nikki and Rachel
