Stacey and Jeff planned an end-of-summer visit to make the most of the garden harvest, but Jeff unexpectedly needed foot surgery and so had to stay behind in the big city. But Stacey and I made the best of it!
Work/play in the garden:
non-stop yakking (of course), quiet time, playing games and enjoying the view from the rockers on the deck. After a few days, Eli arrived for a few days and spent the first day fly fishing:
while Stacey and I hiked to the lookout tower:
we headed (yes, again) down the Alberton Gorge, this time with Lance doing all the rowing
and coaching Eli through a few rapids as well:
and of course, a gourmet picnic on the beach.
Stacey enjoyed came riflery:
and of course it all ended way too soon for my taste…
