The Crew and Bar-be-cue

Saturday morning we all walk Lance’s beautiful trail:

and Stacey finds her tree-growing-out-of-a-tree-stump throne at the end:

The big green egg was stoked to an even 250 degrees at 9:30 am and has continued to cook two pork butts all day in preparation for the landing of the rest of the crew. In style, of course, Marilyn rented a plane to transport the weary fisher-people to the closest municipal airport in Superior, MT. Here they come now:

The plane turns, heads back up the runway, and royalty emerges:

I’m incredibly happy to see them all, and we head back to suwarrow. Everyone greets each other, and the tour commences. Then time to get our barbecue on. The boys volunteer to pull the pork:

yakking and laughing the whole time. Before they know it, they are in shark-infested waters as people swim by and take a munch out of the growing pile of meat. Dinner is served on the patio, under blue skies:

A grand time is had by all. The clean-up crew goes to work, and it’s a quiet evening.
