Penultimate day. No yoga – my body needs a rest. So I meet J&K at Mooji, and as always, enjoy the session. The peace of the entire room, the beatific energy of our teacher, and the part of his answers to whatever the question that provide either teaching or affirmation to me. After all is done, we walk into town for my last meal at Rajasthani. More pictures, and this time I get the baker actually making nan:
and more delicacies from the bakery counter, this time to bring back home with me.
We have a bit of time to relax at the hotel, then we’re in a cab to go to the holy cave.
This is where Vasishta meditated and many people feel a strong energetic atmosphere while sitting and meditating in the cave (and yes, it’s a somewhat low-ceilinged, dank, dark cave about 10 feet deep in the front area and then into a rounder cave that’s about 8 x 15). But first, a bit of do’s and dont’s:
The entrance and first part of the cave (too dark and people in the second part):
I do not connect with whatever others feel, and walk out after a bit of quiet time. J& K walk down to the Ganga for a bit of a foot bath, and I just look out and enjoy the view. Then we’re back in the cab and off for my 5 pm return visit to the Ayurvedic doctor. We have to wait for almost an hour, and he comments that my mind has calmed down, so the herbs must be working. Of course I have to add “either that, or it’s Mooji.” He prefers his own take on things, which we can all understand. He thinks I need to take the herbs for 4 months, and I agree to give it a try, but it will take quite a while for them to put it all together, so Kaita agrees to come back in the morning and pick it up while I’m in the Mooji session.
We all head over to Bistro Nirvana (it took so long at the doctor that we actually are hungry again) and enjoy a lovely dinner. It’s chilly when we arrive:
Not quite as heavenly as last time, but this time we do remember to order the fried momos with ice cream and chocolate sauce and those alone were worth the visit (of course I have to wave my hands and signal to the girls NOT to have a bite yet. i popped one in my mouth right away and the frying of the momo has made the liquid chocolate interior boiling hot – scald my throat, yikes!).
We walk down the hill and they stop at the rickshaw stand for a ride home, and I continue on foot down the road and back to my hotel. I finish most of my packing, then off to sleep.
