Big events so far this week:
Last night was first batch of bread and butter pickles. look pretty darn good! starting to put a dent in the empty shelving for sure. Today I tasted my first batch of creamy homemade yogurt:
and celebrated the arrival of Steve and Lauren Scheibe, who are two of my dearest friends (from Chicago) but haven’t seen them in about 2 1/2 years. Too long. Steve headed out for some communing with the creek, and I harvested beets, beet greens and a potato from the garden! So beautiful, it’s really amazing how things grow out of the earth:
